Our vision is that one day, all parents in Gloucestershire and Monmouthshire will have the choice to give their child a Montessori education. To achieve this end we aim to create Montessori care and educational services for children, parents and teachers that inform, educate and inspire.
Home-based childcare is our primary service. Within a year we have seen our numbers grow to 80% of capacity. In the next three months we will increase this capacity by 50% to meet demand and three months after that we expect to be full with a waiting list. For the foreseeable future we are going to limit the maximum capacity of the setting to nine children per day, to ensure that we retain the home-based qualities we are know for. Further, we will shortly introduce Stay and Play both for parents with Babies and parents with Toddlers. This will provide parents without the need for childcare to learn more about Montessori and meet new parents, whilst your child takes the advantage to explore a fully equipped Montessori environment. We are currently taking registrations of interest for Stay and Play. To read more about Stay and Play Click Here
Beyond this we are continuing to explore many different ideas to deliver support to parents. We always welcome your thoughts and ideas. Otherwise watch this space!
Maria Montessori founded her first school in 1907 in Rome. It was established for disadvantaged children of working parents. Montessori came to England for the first time in 1919. There are now 700 British schools.
