Full day childcare is a our main service. We also though offer half day childcare for babies and ad-hoc as required.

Full Day Childcare

We look after children from the ages of three months to four years and 11 months old, providing care and development needs within this age range. We are open 0800 to 1800, Monday to Friday, 48 weeks per year.  We close two weeks at Christmas, two weeks at Easter and on public and bank holidays. During these closed periods we can be provide Childcare on an additional ad-hoc basis if given suitable notice. As we settle new children in we will agree with you a tapered introduction of stay and play and half days in the month preceding your start date.

Whilst we encourage parents to drop off children before 0900 and collect after 1600, to maximise the child's involvement in activities we are flexible on pick-ups and drop-offs. We serve breakfast, morning snacks, lunch, afternoon snacks and tea. Our food menus change seasonally and rotate on a a three week basis. We use fresh ingredients and exceed the guidelines from The Children’s Food Trust. We provide formula milk for infants and appropriate food for those who are weaning and moving onto solids. We can cater for all dietary requirements including vegetarian, celiac, halal, wheat/gluten free and dairy free.

During day the children are involved in both structured and self-directed activities. Structured activities reflect topic events, such as national holidays or cultural events, whilst self-directed activities enable children to work on what they would like. We are a Montessori setting with a growing selection of baby, toddler and young child Montessori materials available to the children. At least twice a day we have outdoor play or take nature walks. We have a strong outdoors and nature focus with an ‘all weather’ outdoor play policy.

Our teaching is based upon the Montessori philosophy and methods of education, and is fully aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage. Each child has an electronic learning journal to record and plan their learning journey. The parent site allows parents to see photographs and follow their child’s development and enable us to simplify our recording and reporting, enabling practitioners to spend more time with your child. We maintain a 3:1 child to adult ratio for all age groups to ensure every child receives a high level of care and attention. Our care practitioners are supported by a team of cleaners, groundsmen and administrators to ensure that their sole focus is your child and the setting.

Our full day service minimises parental night before/morning preparation. We provide a laundry service for soiled clothing onsite and provide clean clothes while soiled clothing is being washed. We provide waterproof suits, wellington boots and mittens for outdoor play. And we provide all nappies, baby wipes, barrier creams, toddler toilet wipes, tissues, Calpol and sunscreen.

We have a designated sleeping room. Cots are provided for infants and small beds for toddlers. Baby sleep bags and blankets are provided and each child has separate linen. We follow safe sleeping guidelines and sleeping children are monitored regularly.

Half Day Childcare (Babies only)

For children under the age of one we also offer a half-day service. The service reflects all the facilities of the full day service allowing the little ones to get comfortable with the setting and giving parents a had earned break.

Ad-Hoc Childcare

We recognise that life throws us all curve-balls and that life is constant change. Where we are able we will always try to provide ad-hoc childcare. The more notice the better however we will always see what we can do to help.

"It's obvious how much she enjoys her time there, by how much she wants to climb the stairs to the nursery as soon as we arrive."
